Literature Text

A blue-winged angel
Rests on the corner of my pillow,
Watching me sleep
As the night drifts by.

The pillow lifts my head
And carries me to my dreams.
Solitary, curious, I gaze
At the shadows of Angel's wings.

Hearts? Too strange,
Yet taste so sweet, like sugar,
And beats, but not sugar beets
But rather a sarabaite tone.
So the title doesn't make much sense if you don't know what sarabaites are.

I am content with this piece. I knew something decent would come out of this mood today.

I really don't know if I should be here commenting or marking this poem as a favourite after our little dispute on a different page, but I happened to love the first two stanzas.
Though, the last one is a bit odd to me, like it doesn't quite flow well with the top ones. It could possibly be the part about sugar beets. ^_^'
Apologizing now, though, because I happen to like the style of your descriptive poems. You add words to describe things beautifully, and I like the idea of poetry to take that level.
I myself am a lover of poetry, even though I don't usually write it myself. I tend to create a wonderful masterpiece in my head, but then forget the words before I can find a pencil to write it down with. So I switched to writing stories instead, and people started requesting fan fiction, so I write that now.
Anyway, I like this poem, and I thought that you should maybe extend it a little more to make readers feel an additional connection.
